After spending a weekend camping in the rain at the 2016 Ore 2 Shore mountain bike race, we decided that we needed something a little more waterproof than your standard Costco tent. And maybe add a few creature comforts, like a coffee maker. A teardrop trailer looked like the thing to have – small and light enough to tow behind almost anything, fits in the garage, and most importantly, there are lots of sites dedicated to building one yourself.
After a lot of research, I decided to start with the Wyoming Woody teardrop. I ordered a Northern Tools 5’x8′ utility trailer from Amazon (free shipping), joined The Village Workshop my local makerspace, and started cleaning out the garage
This might take a while….
I’ll probably need a workbench – and it uses up some scrap lumber that was in the way of the cleanup.
August 26, 2016 – the trailer arrives – time to get started!
